![]() | From school I worked for D.M.Hodgkinson, (sister company of Bowmer & Kirkland), and went to Wilmorton college for 3 years and achieved my City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating, with Advanced skills, passed with distinctions. I started this business in 1990 and it has grown steadily ever since. My skills consist of: Graining/marbleing, coving, specialist paper hanging, various paint effects and various joinery skills. |

![]() | Daniel was my first apprentice - he has been working for me since early 2003. He has finished his college course and achieved his NVQ level 2, City &Guilds qualification. Dan excelled at college, and his lecturers were very pleased with his attitude and approach to the work he produced, which continues into his work carried out for me. He now has a great understanding of what is required at a professional level and can easily achieve every aspect of the job at hand, from simple to complicated work, his thirst for learning is never ending. He is a very polite, courteous, and reliable asset to my business. |

![]() | Matthew, my nephew, has been working for me since Spring 2005 and has acheived his NVQ levels at college equivilent to City & Guilds. He has excelled at college and also at work as a member of the team, this is mainly down to the level of finish I expect of them all. The jobs we undertake are of high quality where there is no room for error, and Matthew provides this with confidence. Matthew is a very polite, reliable and trustworthy member of my team, and will progress with his interest for the work he produces. |

![]() | Oliver has been with the company now for since May 06 and is working his way towards his NVQ level 2 after acheiving level 1 at college with the aim of achieving a city & guilds qualification in a couple of years. He has progressed very well at college and work, with a vast knowledge of the skills and qualities required already achieved. I have known Ollie since birth and is a family friend, he is from Allestree and has been through the local schools here. He is very quiet, polite and very aware for his and customers belongings. He is becoming a great asset to the team, and will continue to improve his confidence and skills throughout his training. |
